Local businesses deserve design that shows people what makes them worth discovering. For the Talihina Farmers Market in Talihina, Oklahoma, I created a double-sided promotional postcard that brings together real market photography, clear shopping information and an inviting reason to shop local.

As a graphic designer based in Talihina, I enjoy helping small businesses and community organizations turn their photos and ideas into professional marketing materials. This project combines custom postcard design with a reusable Photoshop layout that can grow with the market.

My role: Graphic design and postcard layout
Software: Adobe Photoshop
Completed: September 2026
Design process: No AI was used in this postcard design.

Custom Postcard Design Featuring Real Local Products

The client supplied photographs from the local farmers market, which I arranged into a colorful collage around the market’s branding. Honey, eggs, fresh vegetables and baked goods give shoppers a preview of the products they can discover while bringing the character of this Oklahoma market into the design.

The reverse pairs a colorful produce border with a clear “Shop Local” message, product categories, market dates, hours and location. A QR code and online links provide ways to find more information after picking up the card. Together, the two sides introduce the market and help shoppers plan a visit.

How the Postcard Supports the Market and Its Vendors

A farmers market brings many small businesses together. A shared promotional piece can help the whole market attract attention while creating opportunities for individual vendors to meet new customers.

  • Make the market easier to discover. Postcards can be offered at participating shops, visitor information locations and community events, reaching both local residents and people visiting the Talihina area.
  • Introduce shoppers to more vendors. Someone drawn in by fresh produce may also discover local honey, baked goods or artisan products. Showing the variety gives shoppers more reasons to explore the market.
  • Encourage return visits. A card that shoppers can keep on a refrigerator or share with a friend puts the market’s schedule and location within easy reach.
  • Support ongoing connections. The QR code and online links encourage shoppers to look for market updates and stay connected between visits.
  • Give vendors a shared promotional tool. Participating sellers can distribute the same card through their own customer networks, helping introduce the wider market to more people.

Easy Photoshop Updates for New Seasons and Promotions

The postcard was created as an editable Photoshop layout, making it straightforward to replace product photographs, revise market information or refresh seasonal messaging. New vendors, changing products and special events can be reflected in future versions while keeping the market’s look recognizable.

Before the next print run, I can update the artwork and prepare a refreshed version. Reusing the established layout can reduce design time and help the market get more value from its original investment. The design can also be adapted for flyers, posters and signs, along with social media graphics and website banners.
