Project Overview
Capital Human is a venture capital investment firm focused on the founders building what comes next. Its portfolio includes companies working across artificial intelligence, robotics, space technology, data infrastructure, healthcare and emerging industries.
The project started with a straightforward request: recreate an existing Webflow website in WordPress so it would be easier to manage, update and expand.
But shortly after the initial website was completed, the client wanted to take the experience further.
He envisioned something bolder, darker and more interactive—a website that reflected the innovative companies in his portfolio and felt more aligned with the future of technology.
That initial rebuild evolved into a complete digital transformation.
Using WordPress, Avada, custom development and AI-assisted problem-solving, I created an immersive website experience that combines strategic design, interactive visual effects, founder storytelling, practical business tools and automated content.
The result is a website designed to do more than introduce an investment firm. It showcases its companies, supports its founders and creates a clear path for new opportunities.
Discovery: Understanding the Bigger Opportunity
The initial conversations focused on website maintenance, content updates and making the platform easier to manage.
But as we explored the client’s long-term goals, it became clear that the website needed to serve several distinct groups:
- Founders looking for investment.
- Entrepreneurs researching the firm’s approach.
- Portfolio companies seeking additional visibility.
- Job seekers interested in emerging technology companies.
- Investors, partners and members of the media.
- Visitors exploring developments across artificial intelligence and other rapidly evolving industries.
That discovery shaped both the website structure and the overall design direction.
Instead of treating every request as an isolated update, I approached the project as an interconnected digital experience: one that could introduce the brand, highlight its people, support its portfolio and continue growing over time.
Phase One: Moving From Webflow to WordPress
The first phase focused on rebuilding the original website in WordPress.
Using the Avada website builder, I recreated the existing design and content while establishing a platform that would be easier to maintain and expand.
This included:
- Rebuilding the existing website pages in WordPress.
- Recreating visual assets and layouts where needed.
- Organizing portfolio company information.
- Updating existing content and navigation.
- Improving contact forms.
- Connecting Google Analytics.
- Adding reCAPTCHA protection.
- Creating page-specific SEO titles and meta descriptions.
- Developing and connecting a privacy policy page.
- Testing the website after the domain transition.
The initial version maintained a lighter visual style and served as the foundation for everything that followed.

Phase Two: Reimagining the Brand Experience
After seeing the rebuilt website, the client wanted to explore a completely different creative direction. He shared examples of investment websites that felt more immersive and visually dynamic, with animated introductions, interactive movement and a modern technology-focused atmosphere.
Rather than simply changing the background color, I developed a new visual identity for the website:
- Dark, high-contrast backgrounds.
- Oversized, expressive typography.
- Bold purple accents.
- Bright green interactive highlights.
- Floating particle effects.
- Animated visual elements.
- Mouse-following glow effects.
- Moving grid details.
- Scrolling company logos.
- A custom introductory typing animation.
- Timed transitions that reveal the website after the introduction.
The redesign created a more distinctive experience that better reflects Capital Human’s focus on artificial intelligence, critical infrastructure and forward-thinking founders.
AI-Assisted Development: Turning Ideas Into Working Website Features
One of the most valuable parts of this project was using artificial intelligence as a practical creative and development partner.
The client wanted visual effects that went beyond the standard capabilities of a typical WordPress website builder. Rather than forcing the project into a generic template, I used AI-assisted research and custom code development to explore, test and refine solutions within the existing WordPress and Avada environment.
This process supported the development of:
- Custom HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Interactive cursor-following glow effects.
- Floating animated particles.
- Background grid effects.
- Introductory typing animations.
- Timed content reveals.
- Animated company logo displays.
- Responsive layout adjustments.
- Custom founder application functionality.
- Content formatting and search optimization.
- Research into portfolio companies, career resources and official content feeds.
AI accelerated the exploration and troubleshooting process, but the creative direction, implementation, testing and client collaboration remained guided by real business goals and human decision-making.
The outcome was a custom website experience that feels highly tailored while remaining manageable within WordPress.
Building a Stronger Investment Portfolio Showcase
A central goal of the project was presenting Capital Human’s growing portfolio in a way that felt organized, credible and visually compelling.
I redesigned the portfolio to showcase company logos, link directly to company websites and organize investments into clearly defined categories.
The resulting: investment portfolio page
highlights approximately 30 companies across areas including:
- Artificial intelligence.
- Robotics.
- Space technology.
- Data infrastructure.
- Healthcare.
- Sustainability.
- Consumer products.
- Emerging technology.
Featured companies include Anthropic, Figure AI, SpaceX, Perplexity, Cerebras, Hark, HData, Starcloud and additional early-stage businesses.
Core Thesis
Established investment priorities across AI infrastructure, data, robotics, space and other critical systems.
Emerging Investments
Founder-led companies working in areas such as healthcare, consumer innovation and women’s wellness.
Company logos were organized alphabetically within their categories, with additional investment-status labels included where appropriate.
The result is a portfolio that helps visitors quickly understand both the scale of Capital Human’s investment activity and the diversity of the companies it supports.
Putting the Founders Front and Center
Because Capital Human’s investment philosophy centers on people, the website needed to tell the stories behind the companies.
I developed a dedicated: Featured Founders page
highlighting entrepreneurs across the portfolio.
Each founder profile combines:
- Professional photography.
- Company information.
- Founder background and story.
- Investment timing.
- Investment stage.
- Direct links to the associated company.
- Consistent visual formatting.
- Supporting testimonials from portfolio founders.
The page features leaders associated with companies including Anthropic, Figure AI, Hark, Perplexity, HData, Kara, MUU, Glamhive, TO THE MARKET and Yōni.Fit.
Instead of presenting investments as a simple list of logos, the page reinforces the idea that the firm invests in the people behind the companies.

Designing a Detailed Founder Investment Application
One of the most involved parts of the project was building a comprehensive founder application for entrepreneurs interested in joining the Capital Human portfolio.
The client provided his vision for the application, including an AI-generated concept, and I translated that direction into a fully integrated WordPress form aligned with the website’s visual identity and practical submission requirements.
This was not a standard contact form.
The completed: founder investment application
is designed to take approximately 20–30 minutes and gathers the information needed to evaluate a potential investment opportunity.
Company Information
- Company name and website.
- Business description.
- Founding date.
- Team location.
- Incorporation details.
- Product description.
- Company origin story.
Founding Team
- Expandable sections for up to five founders.
- Founder names and roles.
- Email addresses.
- LinkedIn or social profiles.
- Equity ownership percentages.
- Relevant professional backgrounds.
Founder Introduction Videos
- One required founder video link.
- Up to two additional optional video links.
Product and Company Progress
- Current development stage.
- Technology stack.
- AI models and coding tools used.
- Total customer or user numbers.
- Number of paying customers.
- Customer examples and usage information.
Financial Performance
- Monthly recurring revenue.
- Annual recurring revenue.
- Recent business growth.
Business Strategy
- Founder-market fit.
- Competitive positioning.
- Business model and pricing.
Funding Details
- Previous outside investment.
- Current fundraising goals.
- Existing financial commitments.
- Available operating runway.
Submission Experience
- Required-field validation.
- Expandable founder sections.
- Branded form styling.
- Clear explanations throughout the application.
- Email notification testing.
- Troubleshooting for submission delivery.
- A dedicated application confirmation experience.
I also helped simplify the submission process by recommending video links instead of large file uploads, reducing unnecessary technical complications for both applicants and the client.
The finished application gives Capital Human a more structured way to review opportunities while creating a professional first impression for founders.

Creating a Portfolio Careers Resource
The client also wanted to help portfolio companies attract talent by making their career opportunities easier to discover.
Because job listings were distributed across different company websites and hiring platforms, I developed a practical centralized resource rather than relying on an unreliable one-size-fits-all job aggregation system.
The portfolio careers page
brings together:
- Company branding and logos.
- Direct links to official company websites.
- Links to company career pages when available.
- LinkedIn job resources.
- An easy-to-browse company directory.
The page includes companies working across AI, robotics, space, finance, sustainability, fashion and healthcare.
This approach gives visitors a useful starting point while helping Capital Human support its portfolio companies beyond the initial investment.

Automating Portfolio Company News
To keep the website current and showcase activity across the portfolio, I developed an automated news section featuring updates from official company sources.
The Portfolio News page
highlights content from companies including:
- Anthropic.
- Figure AI.
- SpaceX.
- Perplexity.
- HData.
- Starcloud.
- Frances Valentine.
- TINGE.
- Yōni.Fit.
The news system was designed to:
- Import updates from official company RSS feeds.
- Incorporate videos from official YouTube channels.
- Organize posts by portfolio company.
- Display featured images and video content.
- Include clear links to original sources.
- Present excerpts instead of reproducing entire articles.
- Schedule content imports at a controlled pace.
- Mix updates from different companies.
- Avoid unnecessary subscription-based social media integrations.
- Keep the website active without requiring every post to be added manually.
AI-assisted research helped identify available company feeds, evaluate reliable content sources and explore practical implementation options.
This creates a more dynamic website while helping visitors discover the innovation happening across the Capital Human portfolio.

Refining the Contact Experience
Because founders and general inquiries have very different needs, the website uses separate paths for each audience.
The general contact page
provides a dedicated place for:
- Partnerships.
- Press and media inquiries.
- Portfolio-related questions.
- Career inquiries.
- General business communication.
Founders seeking investment are directed to the more detailed application process.
This separation makes the website easier to navigate and helps ensure inquiries are routed more appropriately.
Improving Search Visibility and Website Performance
Search visibility was considered throughout the project rather than added as an afterthought.
The work included:
- Creating SEO titles and meta descriptions for major pages.
- Improving page organization and navigation labels.
- Adding clear, descriptive calls to action.
- Expanding website content around founders, investment priorities and portfolio companies.
- Organizing internal links between related pages.
- Adding relevant external links to portfolio company websites and career resources.
- Connecting Google Analytics for ongoing visibility into website activity.
- Developing an automated content strategy that keeps the website active.
- Adjusting layouts and spacing across different screen sizes.
- Testing forms, links and other visitor interactions.
- Reviewing email delivery and submission reliability.
The client later reported receiving a high volume of inquiries and connected that improvement with the website’s SEO efforts.
The Final Website
The completed website includes:
