Legacy of Love – Custom Christian Memoir Book Cover Design

A personal story deserves a cover that helps readers feel its meaning before they turn the first page. For Legacy of Love by Kathy Mills, I created a custom book cover design in Adobe Photoshop, bringing together warm sunset imagery, expressive typography, and a thoughtful front and back cover layout.

This Christian memoir explores love, faith, grief, and the hope Kathy found through her husband’s illness and loss. The cover’s silhouetted couple, standing hand in hand against a golden sky, creates a visual connection to those themes. The distant mountains and glowing horizon give the design a sense of reflection, companionship, and enduring love.

Meaningful Imagery and Thoughtful Typography

Flowing white script gives the title a personal, graceful presence, while the darker tones provide contrast and frame the sunset. The author name sits clearly beneath the image, allowing the title and photograph to remain the focal points. A coordinated back cover carries the warm color palette through to the book description and author portrait, creating a cohesive presentation.

This project showcases my approach to Christian book cover design, memoir cover design, and nonfiction cover design: connecting the visual style to the story so the finished cover feels meaningful to the author and inviting to readers.
