Some books are more than stories—they’re part of the healing process.
My Rainbow to Keep was created from a place of deep loss, reflection, and the desire to hold onto something meaningful after grief.
This project wasn’t about creating something flashy. It was about creating something that felt right.
Project Overview
This book cover was designed for an author sharing a deeply personal journey through bereavement, healing, and emotional restoration.
The direction for this project was intentionally simple—guided by the client’s vision, selected imagery, and meaningful color choices that represented peace, remembrance, and hope.
- Custom book cover design (front, spine, and back)
- Designed in Photoshop for professional print production
- Client-selected imagery, colors, and fonts
- Clean, minimal layout to support the emotional tone of the book
Every design decision was made to support the message—not overpower it.
My Role
In projects like this, my role goes beyond design.
When someone is sharing something this personal, the goal isn’t just to make it look good—it’s to help them feel confident that their story is being represented the way it deserves.
I worked closely with the author to:
- Translate her vision into a cohesive visual direction
- Maintain simplicity while preserving emotional impact
- Ensure the final design was print-ready and professionally structured
Sometimes the simplest designs carry the most weight—and this was one of those projects.

Book Design + Website Design
Following the book design, I also had the opportunity to design a full website to support her message and mission.
The website expanded on the heart behind the book—creating a space for healing, encouragement, and connection beyond the pages.
While the site is no longer active, it remains one of my favorite projects because of how clearly it reflected the author’s purpose and voice.
