From Our Portfolio

I redesigned the Baby Maternity Retailer website using WordPress and the Avada theme, giving an established B2B publication a fresh online presence. The client came to me with an outdated website and needed an updated platform for industry content, magazine promotion, and the advertising opportunities that support his business.
Baby Maternity Retailer serves retailers, buyers, and brands in the baby and maternity industry. Because the business sells advertisements in both its magazine and on its website, the redesign needed to support two connected audiences: readers looking for useful information and businesses interested in reaching those readers.

I used Avada to create a magazine-style website that brings industry news, retailer strategies, product features, and magazine information together in a consistent layout. The homepage gives visitors several ways to explore the publication, from recent articles and featured products to award winners and subscription opportunities.
This B2B website redesign gave the publication an updated online home where its content and commercial purpose could work together. Retailers can discover information relevant to their businesses, while brands can see the audience and industry focus behind the publication.
For a publishing business, the website’s layout needs to support both the reading experience and its advertising goals. The homepage combines article collections with linked promotional imagery, making room for advertising within the larger editorial design.
This project shows how a WordPress magazine website can support direct advertising sales alongside an existing publication. A business can offer advertisers opportunities to appear in its magazine and reach readers online, with the website providing another place for relevant brands to gain visibility.
For publishers, niche bloggers, and owners of industry websites, thoughtfully planned advertising space can become part of a broader income strategy. The design needs to give useful content room to stand out while making promotional placements feel like a considered part of the page.
I organized the website experience around the different types of information its readers come to find. News and retailer strategies sit alongside product categories covering areas such as baby apparel, carriers, feeding aids, and nursery furniture.
Article and product layouts bring together imagery, written information, relevant links, and opportunities to explore related content. This gives the publication a consistent way to present new stories and products as its content collection grows.
For a website that publishes regularly, that organization matters. Clear categories and repeatable layouts help readers find material that interests them and give the owner a practical structure for adding more.
The website also brings the publication’s magazine and subscription opportunities into view. A dedicated magazine page introduces the publication and links readers to the digital edition, while subscription prompts appear throughout the site.
Together, these elements create a central online home for discovering articles, exploring the magazine, and staying connected with the publication. They also help communicate the scope of the publishing business to potential advertisers and industry partners.
Along with the redesign, I provided custom video tutorials showing my client how to work with his website. The walkthroughs gave him a resource he could return to while learning to manage the site and continue developing it.
He loved the redesigned website and especially appreciated the videos. He now manages the website and continues growing it himself, making the training an important part of the project’s success.
I want my website clients to feel comfortable using what I create for them. A professional design becomes even more useful when the business owner has the knowledge and confidence to keep it moving forward.
Do you have a magazine, industry blog, community publication, or niche audience you want to serve? Imagine a website where readers can explore your content, businesses can discover opportunities to reach your audience, and you have room to offer advertising space as your publication grows.
I can help you create a WordPress website that brings your content, audience, and advertising goals together. Whether you want to redesign an outdated publishing website or launch a new online magazine, let’s talk about the ideas you want to share and the business you want to build around them.
