Project Overview
As Creative Director for Torah Sisters Magazine, Issue 30 (May/June 2026), I led the visual direction, editorial design, and content structuring of a multi-page publication focused on faith-based living, practical application, and community engagement for women who love Yeshua.
This issue represents a fully developed stage of content-driven design, where teaching, lifestyle content, recipes, and guided resources are intentionally structured into a cohesive and engaging reader experience. The publication is designed not only to inform, but to guide readers through understanding, participation, and real-life application.
My Role
Creative Direction, Editorial Design & Content Strategy
- Directed the overall visual and editorial strategy for the publication
- Structured complex, multi-author content into a clear and scalable system
- Designed layouts for teaching content, lifestyle articles, recipes, and guided resources
- Maintained brand consistency and cohesion across all sections
- Refined typography systems and layout patterns to improve readability and usability
- Prepared files for both print-ready production and digital distribution
Design Approach
This issue reflects a mature, user-focused design approach where content is intentionally structured to support clarity, engagement, and real-world use. The goal is to create a seamless experience that guides readers from learning to implementation.
Key design considerations included:
- Designing structured content systems that support both reading and active participation
- Creating strong information hierarchies for teaching and instructional content
- Enhancing usability through consistent layout patterns and visual organization
- Supporting diverse content types including recipes, guides, calendars, and articles
- Organizing content to move readers from understanding to practical application
Key Strengths Demonstrated

- User experience (UX) and reader journey design

- Print and digital publication design
Results & Value
The final publication delivers a structured, engaging, and highly usable reader experience. By organizing complex content into a cohesive system, the magazine becomes easy to navigate, practical to use, and effective in supporting both learning and real-life application.
This approach ensures that content is not only visually engaging, but strategically designed to improve clarity, usability, and long-term value for readers.
Future Application of This Work
This project demonstrates my ability to lead and design advanced content systems that support engagement, clarity, and scalability. These same principles apply to a wide range of modern design needs, including:
- Website and UX content design
- Brand and marketing campaigns
- Content strategy and digital platforms
- Educational and course-based content
- Audience engagement and community-driven platforms
This work reflects my ability to transform complex content into structured, engaging, and scalable experiences that support both understanding and action.

Testimonial:
Crystal designs my magazine and I love her! My customers rave about how beautiful and professional it is and can’t wait for the next issue. I know the content is good, too, but it’s the design that they talk about. Not only is she talented, but Crystal is also easy to work with, meets deadlines early and is a great communicator. I hope she always will work for me!
