I created this health and fitness instructor website for Leatha’s Zumba-N-Dance Fitness in Talihina, Oklahoma. Built with WordPress and the Avada theme, the website brought together an energetic design, class information, online payment options, and clear directions to the class location.
The project also included video tutorial guides that helped the client quickly learn to manage the website and add their own content. It was a practical combination of professional website design and training that supported the client’s independence.
A Website That Matched the Energy of Dance Fitness
For a fitness instructor, a website is often someone’s first introduction to the personality behind the classes. I used bold fitness imagery, black backgrounds, turquoise accents, and vibrant pink sections to create an upbeat presentation that reflected the energy of Zumba and line dancing.
The layout brought the instructor’s story, class options, and payment information into a consistent design. Clearly presented class passes and packages helped visitors compare their options, while the About page gave them a chance to get to know the instructor before attending.
Website Pages and Features
- Home: An engaging introduction to the instructor and dance fitness classes, with prominent class-pass options and pricing.
- About: A personal page introducing the instructor’s story, experience, and motivation for helping others enjoy fitness.
- Terms: A dedicated page for the business’s terms and class-related policies.
- FAQs: Information about Zumba and line dancing to help prospective students learn more about the classes.
- Contact with Google Maps: Business contact information and an embedded, interactive Google Map showing the class location at Talihina Community Center.
Online Class Payments Through PayPal
I integrated PayPal payment buttons so students could pay for classes online using PayPal or a credit card through PayPal checkout. Individual passes and multi-class packages gave visitors clear purchase options.
This connected the website’s class information with a convenient way to pay before attending. For a business built around in-person instruction, online class payments added a useful service for both the instructor and prospective students.
Video Tutorials That Helped the Client Take Over
A key part of this project was making sure the client felt comfortable using the finished website. I provided video tutorial guides to help them learn how to manage the site and add content.
The client quickly learned the process, took over the website, and added their own content when desired. The videos also provided a resource they could revisit whenever they needed a refresher.
That handoff is an important part of my approach to small business website design: give the client a professional presentation and the guidance to keep it useful as their business changes.
WordPress, Avada, and Practical Website Tools
- WordPress: A content management system the client could use to add and update website content.
- Avada: Theme customization to coordinate the page layouts, colors, typography, and visual presentation.
- PayPal: Payment-button integration for online class purchases.
- Google Maps: An interactive map to help students locate the classes.
- Client training: Video guides supporting ongoing content updates and independent website management.
