Over a Decade of Website and Graphic Design Support

I’ve worked with Tomiko Lee, also known as author Okhui Lee, for over a decade, supporting a wide range of creative projects through website design, graphic design, and professional marketing materials. Our collaboration has included multiple websites, ongoing monthly website management, logo designs, business cards, brochures, CD covers and inserts, movie posters, and investor presentations.

Her A Girl from Busan author website is one part of that lasting relationship. It brings her book and personal story online while connecting readers with the experiences, people, and message behind her writing.

WordPress Author Website Design for A Girl from Busan

I designed the A Girl from Busan website using WordPress and the Avada theme, creating an online home for her book, author biography, photographs, and news. The site introduces a personal story shaped by family, immigration, faith, and resilience, giving visitors several ways to learn about the author before purchasing the book.

The book presentation, author information, and dedicated synopsis page work together to help readers understand what the story offers. For an author sharing a deeply personal memoir, those connections give visitors a fuller introduction to both the book and the person who wrote it.

Photo Galleries, Book Promotion, and Reader Connections

A dedicated photo gallery gives readers a visual connection to people and experiences described in the book. Family photographs appear alongside moments from Tomiko’s film, music, and charitable work, extending the story beyond the printed page.

The website also includes articles and event announcements, with content covering book signings, media interviews, and speaking engagements. These areas provide a place to share author news and support ongoing book promotion as new opportunities arise.

Book-purchase links direct readers to Amazon, while a contact form provides a way to send questions and inquiries. A separate resources page connects visitors with organizations related to themes explored in the book. Together, these features give the author website a practical role in reader communication and book marketing.

Monthly Website Management and Ongoing Support

My work with Tomiko continues beyond launching a website. I manage their websites on a monthly basis, providing ongoing website support as their projects and needs develop. That continued involvement gives them a familiar point of contact for their website management and design needs.

Working together across multiple websites has also given me a lasting understanding of their creative work. Whether the next project involves an author website, a musician’s online presence, or a multimedia business, I can build on that familiarity while keeping each site focused on its own audience.

Print Marketing Materials, Logo Design, and Movie Posters

Our collaboration has included professional print and graphic design for business cards, brochures, CD covers and inserts, and movie posters. I’ve also created logo designs and other marketing materials to support their work across music, film, and business projects.

Each format serves a different purpose, from introducing a business to promoting a film or presenting an album. Bringing website and graphic design together helps carry a recognizable visual direction across the materials connected with each project.

PowerPoint Presentations and Investor Pitch Deck Design

I’ve also helped present their film projects to potential investors through PowerPoint presentation design and investor pitch decks. This work brings project information and supporting visuals into a presentation that is organized, professional, and easy to follow.

It’s another way I support clients whose needs extend across websites, print materials, and business presentations, with design adapted to the audience and purpose of each piece.

Our work together also includes the Cornerstone Multimedia website design, a WordPress project supporting their multimedia business.

You can also explore my Dennis James Lee musician website design. That project connects his music and creative work with a website whose earlier design also reflected the Under Your Shade album artwork I created.
